Psychologist

Hello! I’m glad you’re considering therapy.

Joining with clients in painful and joyful moments, figuring out concerns, and witnessing the change process is a great privilege. I work very hard on my own development, striving to be the best human being and professional that I can be.

With passion for several areas of knowledge and practice, I’ve worked as a psychologist in various capacities. I completed diagnostic evaluations for the Courts, managed government funded research projects, worked with sports teams and athletes, and was faculty at Cleveland State University teaching sport psychology and counseling courses. Health/sport psychology and utilizing movement to manage energy has been a specialized focus.

I spend a lot of time training and coaching Jiu Jitsu with a framework of creating optimal experiences in sport and life. I’ve spent much of my career coaching athletes of all levels across many sports to improve performance and enjoy training. Because of the many benefits of Jiu Jitsu training, I strongly advocate for getting more women comfortable with the idea of participating.

Study and experience in many disciplines including psychology, philosophy, fitness training, yoga, and martial arts positions me to assist you uniquely and comprehensively in your process of “wrestling” with the various concerns you may bring to therapy.  I’m happy to be in your corner.
